Biology Is Just Beginning
"Biology Is Just Beginning" is the tagline of Molecular Reality Corporation. It sits under the company's double-helix wordmark with a small trademark sign after it, and every colorway of the wordmark carries it. The earliest dated document that carries it is the company's technical overview of December 2022. Its capitalization varies from one company document to the next.[1][2]
Appearances
The first page of the December 2022 overview, a 14-page description of the company's hardware and games, consists of the wordmark in red and dark grey on a black ground, with the tagline beneath. The same image opens the company's copy of "Our North Star", the five-page statement of its long-term goal written the same year. Both documents were posted to members in March 2026.[1][3] In "Our North Star" the tagline stands above an argument that biology's large discoveries are still ahead: "there's just so much we still don't know", it says, and once "all the rules of genomic and biological design" are understood, "we'll be able to grow virtually anything that can exist in our reality".[3]
In February 2026 the company's website used the line as a call to action, in capitals, at the foot of a panel about its planned games. The panel promised "Direct Reality Control", game screens that would "control the actual voltage and fluidics of your nanopore instrument in real-time", and ended: "BIOLOGY IS JUST BEGINNING. PRESS START by ordering your membership today!"[2] The membership in question was a $300 lifetime membership of the Molecular Streaming Corps; by August 2026 the company was "not currently recruiting new players".[4]
In July and August 2026 the company produced new colorways of the wordmark: blue and gold on July 16, the green "apex" version on July 21, named after its design theme, and a red apex version on August 26. Each keeps the line.[2] The apex version headed the front page of the company's websites from August 19, 2026, above the sentence "everybody's racing to build the brain, we're building the eye." The text that describes the logo image to screen readers on that page reads "Biology is Just Beginning".[5] Company slide presentations of 2026 end on the line "Molecular Reality Corp. · Biology is just beginning™".[2] From October 25, 2026, the front page has been an article in Molecupedia, whose infobox shows the red wordmark with the caption "Wordmark with the trademarked line 'Biology Is Just Beginning'".[6]

On the artwork, the line follows the usual rules for titles. Headline style, as the Chicago Manual of Style sets it out, capitalizes every verb, "is" included, which is what the artwork does. The mixed form, used in the names of the image files and in the front page's description of the logo, leaves the verb in lowercase.[2][5][a]
Trademark sign
On the artwork the line ends in a small "tm". In the United States the ™ sign marks a claimed trademark and the ® sign a registered one, and the company uses the first on several of its phrases, among them "Epic Quest Bio™" and "Universal Molecular Streaming™".[2] The slide version carries the sign as well.[2]

Lines the company adopted in 2026, collected in the List of Molecular Reality Corporation slogans, took up other themes: "MOLECULAR STREAMING FOR LIFE" opened the home page in February 2026, the About page was headed "Join Kemmishtree in our Club to Cure All Diseases", the guide for visitors adopted "Real science today. Dreams flagged as dreams. Story flagged as story." in August, and the front page of August 19 carried the sentence about the brain and the eye.[2][7][4][5]
