Web addresses and front pages of Molecular Reality Corporation

Molecular Reality Corporation has registered four web addresses for its one website, each for a different name the company or its characters have used. In the words of its mascot's guide, "One website wears several addresses."[1] In 2026 alone the front page behind those addresses took at least six forms. Since October 25, 2026, it has been an article in Molecupedia.[2] The company also publishes video on YouTube and hardware designs and code on GitHub.

Addresses

Domains of Molecular Reality Corporation, in order of registration
Address Registered Name it carries Described in the company's guide as
demonpore.com December 24, 2014 The company's first name, demonpore, inc. "an old name I mention exactly once in this entire guide"
molecularreality.com July 18, 2021 The present name, adopted in 2021 "points to the same site"
keltar.ai August 23, 2024 The mascot, Keltar "my own little page, where you can talk to a live version of me"
epicquest.bio March 29, 2025 The game Epic Quest Bio "The home address"

Registration dates come from the registries' public records.[3][4][5][6][a] Asked "Why so many names?", Keltar's guide answers that "Names change as work finds its shape", and ends: "scientists rename things when they understand them better. We understood better."[1] The address keltar.ai uses the country-code domain of Anguilla, a British territory in the Caribbean whose two letters are popular with companies in artificial intelligence.

The oldest address is older than the company: demonpore.com was registered more than three years before demonpore, inc. was incorporated in 2018, for the name that a colleague's reaction to Kent Kemmish's sliding pore had suggested: Maxwell's demon.[7][8] molecularreality.com followed the rename of 2021, and the two later addresses carry the names of the company's mascot and of its game.[7]

Front pages

What the front page showed, 2026
Date Front page
February 2026 A home page headed "MOLECULAR STREAMING FOR LIFE", with the company's games and its membership offer
Until June 13, 2026 EQBio-OS, the members' software
June 13, 2026 The live molecular stream: the current through a pore, the laboratory cameras and a chat

August 18, 2026 A plain page with the logo and a contact form
August 19, 2026 The apex wordmark, the sentence "everybody's racing to build the brain, we're building the eye." and a looping video of an eye
October 25, 2026 The article "Molecular Reality Corporation" in Molecupedia

In February 2026 the home page opened with the line "MOLECULAR STREAMING FOR LIFE".[7] On June 13 a commit titled "Phase 4: route restructure" made the live stream the front page and moved the members' software to an address of its own.[9] Sixteen days later a commit titled "Waypoint 1: Tab-based SPA layout and skeleton" began a single-page front page with tabs.[10] Its banner promised "100 hours of molecular streaming in 100 days to start feeding our nanopore world model."[7]

The tabs lasted until August 18, when a commit added a "unified ultraminimalist splash with email-code contact form".[11] Later that day the form learned to "reject typo'd email domains with near-miss + MX checks".[12] The next day the page was rebuilt around a single sentence, "everybody's racing to build the brain, we're building the eye.", with a link that revealed the company's contact details. Three commits that day trace the work: "Splash: strip to logo only, top-left, half size", then the rebuild, then "Fix splash fit: never wipe video width, scale stack to fit any viewport".[13] On October 25, 2026, that page gave way to Molecupedia's article on the company, and the eye page was kept elsewhere on the site.[2][7]

The company's game had once offered 500 experience points for the same result. The quest, switched off by then, read: "MRC wikipedia page: Make an awesome (and accurate) wikipedia page about Molecular Reality Corporation."[14]

Other pages

Behind the front page is one set of public pages. Among them are the live stream and its streams archive; Keltar's Field Guide to Molecular Reality, published in August 2026; Keltar's own page, with a voice line; the founder's CV; The Hole World, an atlas of groups that study molecules with small holes; the 197 animated eyes of Iridian; and the games Moleculoids and Silver Orange.[1][7] Members sign in to EQBio-OS, an inbox-shaped interface for the game.[15] To the question "The site feels young. Is it?" the guide replies: "It is young, and it knows it."[1]

Retired sites

Keltar once had a separate site of his own at keltar.ai. It has been retired, and the character now lives on a page of the main site.[7] In early 2025 the company also built a portal at molstream.com, with a page introducing its handheld "MR1 Molecular Streaming Device" and a question desk staffed by Keltar; that site is no longer online.[7]

Other channels

The company's videos are on YouTube under the handle @EpicQuestBio, from bench recordings of 2015 and 2016 to a 2025 invitation to the Church of Sequence Space.[7] Its GitHub organization, EpicQuestBio, holds the open design of the MR1 Nanopore Reader, released under the GNU Affero General Public License on October 16, 2026 and placed in the public domain under CC0 on October 21, and the code of its machine-learning experiments.[16][17][18]
