Molecular News is the news channel of EQBio-OS, the members' software of Molecular Reality Corporation. It appears in the software's menu as a filter that shows only the posts marked as news. A news post can carry a video, a carousel of pictures, an image or a PDF.[1] The software's guided tour introduces the channel: "Reasons to build utility-scale molecular sensing SUPERABOUND. We'll be regularly reporting on them here. Coming soon!"[2]
By October 2026 the channel had published one post.
"Nobody Dies"
The post, dated April 29, 2026, is titled "Nobody Dies". Its whole text reads "reason #89224947297 why we must build utility-scale molecular sensing", followed by a link to a song on YouTube.[3] It was filed under the inbox's EQBio-OS pillar, one of three, the others belonging to the Molecular Streaming Corps and to Minds of Maxine.[1] The channel has published no reason with a lower number.[a]
The cause the reasons serve is utility-scale molecular sensing, the company's name for its long-term goal. A company paper of 2022, Our North Star, defines it as "Molecular sensing with the scale, economics, and universal adoption of electricity, running water, and internet", with sensors "in air handling systems, toilets, and drains".[4] The company's field guide gives the present against which the goal is measured: "Today we have one instrument in one lab."[5]
In the software
The channel sits in the left rail of EQBio-OS, below the dashboard, the simulator Nanopore Studio, the link to the live stream and the quiz JeoPOREdy!.[1] A member who types "news", "molecular news" or "mol news" into the inbox's filter reaches the same view. In the tour, the channel's step is headed "Molecular News" with the words "coming soon" after it. It is the eighth of fifteen steps, between the quiz and the step for the TELETHON, the founder's live sessions.[2]
News posts arrive in the same inbox as the rest of the company's messages, which come from the founder and from the company's characters, among them the felt mascot Keltar and a cast of historical sender personas.[1]
Reasons
The company has given its reasons in other places. Its mission statement on the public About page reads: "Molecular Reality Corporation is building the world's first utility-scale molecular sensing infrastructure."[6] A text published with its proposal for RLMF argues that "Even the most intelligent AI systems will need to somehow measure the world of molecules."[7] Neither is numbered.
